WHAT WE BELIEVE

 “I believe, therefore I speak…”

Christian belief is unique and distinctive, not determined by human opinion, but by the supernatural revelation of the Holy Bible.  We agree with traditional protestant, evangelical interpretation of the Bible, that it alone is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and that the Bible by itself is adequate to reveal the nature of God, His righteousness and His salvation to all men.

We believe that there is One God as revealed in scripture, God the Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things and of Mankind, uniquely created in God’s image and likeness for HIs purpose.  We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior Who alone can save, and in God the Holy Spirit who indwells every Christian believer.

The Bible teaches all men have sinned and come short of God’s glory.  God’s plan of salvation was to send His Son, Jesus Christ, as a man to live a sinless life and give His life as a sacrifice for sin.   The Gospel Jesus taught is the power of God to the salvation of all who believe.   Salvation is a gift given to those who repent and forsake their sins and who receive God’s forgiveness and a new heart of faith. Those who put their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior will be transformed, their lives completely changed by God’s love, power, and purpose.

Those who believe, true Christians, are adopted into the Family of God.   They are joined into the Church by the Holy Spirit.  The local church is a family and home to those who have received God’s salvation.   The Church is purposed to be a place of worship to glorify God, a place of teaching to bring every believer to a mature faith and of right living. The Church is to love and serve one another as well as  surrounding communities, and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ locally, regionally and internationally.
